The PRINTINGPro's Terms & Conditions

Introduction:

By using any page of our site you are agreeing to the following Terms And Conditions:

  • Proprietary Rights

    All the pages at www.ScanArt.com and the software used to create them are the property of ScanArt.com. You have our permission to use the site to order printing, have us review your files, etc. - anything that is your private use. Please don't copy any part of our site or use it for financial gain.

  • 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

    If you are not 100% satisfied with the job we print for you, we will reprint it if the error was made by ScanArt.com.

Before You Order:

  • File Requirements

    If we find that your files' resolution are too low, causing it to appear "sub-par", we may request new files that would yield a more desirable result. In this case, we may request the same files be re-sent to us at a higher resolution. If these are not available, we hold no responsibility over how the image is reproduced. We offer full scanning services, and may suggest scanning the original images and placing them into the document. Original artwork from the designer is preferred for the highest quality results. We always accept both digital and physical artwork.

  • Regarding the Content You Give Us —

    When you use our site, please do not give us content that violates any laws. We reserve the right to refuse anything that we consider objectionable. Be aware that we will not hesitate to work with law enforcement if there is a problem.

    We reserve the right to save or delete your files and possibly use them as samples or on our website.

During The Order:

  • Terms of Sale

    We require full payment, including shipping, be paid via credit card before the order is released to our pre-press department.

    Once we have your order and the files have been released to our pre-press department, you are responsible for a flat fee of $75.00 for any cancellations (unless we discuss some other arrangement). Upon cancellation at this point we will credit your charge card for the full amount of your order, minus a $75.00 file processing fee

  • Sales Tax

    Any orders shipped within California will be charged the regulation sales tax for the county where the item is shipped.

    If you are tax exempt, please include your exemption certificate with your first order to us.

  • Your Credit Card and Security

    We utilize secure shopping cart technology, secure servers and secure connections at all times. Transactions on the site are protected with up to 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption. All credit card processing is handled electronically through Verisign.

    We use your credit card information only to bill you for the printing that you order from us. We will never sell your information or spam you.

  • How We Handle the Proofing Process

    We require a proof to be signed-off by the customer prior to printing on every job. You may select from either a Lo-Res PDF, a Standard Quality Inkjet or a High Quality Gloss Inkjet Proof.

    If you select the Lo-Res PDF option, we will email you a link to view and approve your proof just hours after we receive your file.

    If you select either the Low Quality Inkjet or High Quality Inkjet Hard Copy alternatives, we require one or two business days to create the PROOF. It is then sent out via UPS and will arrive to your door soon, depending on the proof delivery option you choose during checkout (UPS Ground or UPS Next-Day). After you receive your hard copy proof, you may log onto ScanArt.com website and approve it. We must have this electronic signoff of your proof before your order can proceed to press.

  • If Your Order Requires More Or Corrected Files

    We will try our best to make your files press-ready, and will contact you if we have any questions or concerns. In the rare case we have to spend an unreasonable amount of time to fix your files, we will contact you and get permission to fix your files at a cost of $65 / hour with a $25 minimum.

    If your order requires new files, we have provided a page on our site to upload them. Please note that a flat $25 fee will be charged for uploading replacement files. We will process your files again, and send you a new proof to review and approve.

  • If You Have To Cancel Or Change Files After your Job has Gone To Press

    You may cancel your order up until the time your job goes to press, but not after it has gone to press. If it has not gone to press, we will credit your charge card for the full amount of your order minus a $75.00 file processing fee. No hard feelings, we hope to see you again.

    However, after we go to press, we will be unable to make changes or cancellations to your order. We will have already charged your credit card and the order will be processed as is.

  • Timings, Turnarounds And Rush Delivery

    We consider an order ready to add to our printing schedule when we have received payment via credit card and you have uploaded and approved the artwork needed to print the job.

    Turnaround time does not start when you place the order in the system. This is because every job we do requires a proof to be signed off by the customer prior to printing. Turnaround begins when the proof is approved.

    Paid / Uploaded / Approved Orders received before 12 PM PST at ScanArt.com begin calculating their turnaround the same business day.

    Paid / Uploaded / Approved Orders received after 12 PM PST at ScanArt.com will begin calculating their turnaround the next business day.

    The Delivery Date for the order starts being calculated at this time as well.

    Remember: The time the carrier you selected needs to deliver your order is in addition to our turnaround time and we cannot be held responsible for any failures on the part of individual carriers.

    We do our best to adhere to these timeframes and minimize unanticipated circumstances.

    Regarding Rush Delivery: Since every order is important to us, The PRINTINGPro's.com don't have a policy of putting one order in front of another one. We strive to process every order as quickly as possible.

  • Refund Policy

    Generally, all sales are final, but we provide buttons on our web site that allow you to cancel an order before it goes to pre-press. If you wish to cancel before we have devoted any time and effort we will gladly process a full refund to your credit card. If your job has gone through prepress, but not yet been approved and ‘sent to press', we will credit your charge card for the full amount of your order minus a $75.00 file processing fee. If your order has been approved and ‘sent to press', no refunds are possible and your job will be printed as is.

  • Complaints

    If there is an issue with an order, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt at: 800-PROS-411 or complaints@ScanArt.com.

    If we determine that the problem with a job is our fault we will rerun the job at no cost to you.
